Månafossen is one of the largest and most powerful waterfalls found in the region of Rogaland in Norway. The 92-meter-long waterfall is located along the river of Månaåna in Gjesdal, 6 km outside of the village of Frafjord. The area is pretty isolated and remote so don’t be surprised to see that you will have no cell reception

Even though the hike to the waterfall is pretty short only about 400 meters it will take roughly half an hour to climb to the top, where you’ll have a beautiful view of the waterfall. Even though it’s a short hike it’s pretty steep so make sure to bring your water bottle.

If you want to take a longer route you can continue on to the farm Mån. From the waterfall, it will take you another 30 minutes to get to Mån, but this track is not as steep as the first stage up to the waterfall. The farm is situated in a picturesque location surrounded by mountains, green grass and the river.
